In this work, I sought to move beyond straightforward depiction, exploring how color and form can evoke feeling as much as sight. Oregon Bloom highlights the tension between control and spontaneity inherent in encaustic painting—the slow layering of wax allows moments of surprise and discovery, much like the unpredictable beauty of nature itself.
